This is an original 1942 German 1 Reichspfennig coin minted during World War II. It’s made of zinc, which was used during wartime metal shortages.
It comes from my grandfather’s collection — he was an antique dealer in Austria.
The coin shows the wartime design with the imperial eagle on one side and “1 Reichspfennig” on the other. Despite visible wear, this is an authentic period example of WWII-era currency used in Nazi Germany, a historically significant collectible.
