Original 1939 German 5 Reichsmark coin featuring the portrait of Field Marshal and President Paul von Hindenburg (1847–1934). This piece was issued during the late 1930s and represents one of the final large silver denominations struck before the end of WWII. The reverse design features the German imperial eagle above a laurel wreath enclosing the denomination, symbolizing authority and unity.
