Historical Background:
The **2/3 Thaler** denomination was unique to Saxony during the late 18th century, valued for its convenient size and silver content. Friedrich August III ruled during the final years of the Holy Roman Empire, guiding Saxony through political change that led to its elevation to a kingdom in 1806. This coin captures the refined minting artistry of pre-Napoleonic Germany.
