This is an original 1895 Austria 1 Kreuzer bronze coin featuring the portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph I, ruler of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
It comes from my grandfather’s collection — he was an antique dealer in Austria.
The obverse shows the emperor’s bust with the legend “FRANC IOS I D G IMP AVSTR REX BOH GAL ILL ETC ET AP REX HVNG,” while the reverse displays the imperial crown above the denomination “1” within a laurel wreath.
This coin represents a key era in Central European history, making it a desirable piece for collectors of 19th-century European or Austrian coinage.
