Description:
For sale is a Germany / Third Reich 1 Reichspfennig coin (KM catalog number KM97, zinc issue). The coin bears the characteristic eagle and swastika design typical of WWII German small change. This piece is circulated and shows wear, toning, some surface corrosion, and aging marks, as is typical of old zinc coins.

This coin comes from my grandfather’s estate — he was an antiques dealer in Austria, and he kept a collection of European coins. I’m now offering part of his legacy to collectors.

Key details / keywords for collectors:

• Germany / Deutsches Reich / Third Reich coin

• 1 Reichspfennig denomination

• Zinc composition (wartime emergency issue)

• Eagle + swastika motif

• Circulated / vintage collectible

• KM catalog / KM97 reference

• WWII German coin, Nazi Germany currency

Condition Notes (Seller’s Estimate):
See below. Please examine the photos carefully before bidding. Judging by the photos:

• The coin shows noticeable wear, surface corrosion, and oxidation (especially around edges and in recesses).

• The details (eagle, swastika, lettering) are still visible but somewhat softened.

• No major damage (no large gouges or holes) but clear signs of aging and handling.

I’d grade it in the “Good to Very Good (G / VG)” range (leaning toward VG). It’s definitely circulated; not fine, not AU.
