Restored PORCELIER White Porcelain Sconces, Art Deco & MCM, Excellent, Rewired
These white porcelain sconces were manufactured by Porcelier sometime between 1928 and 1953, the lifetime of the company. However, they are art deco in style and the 1930's is the most likely period of manufacture. The porcelain is in very good condition and has no chips or stains. They even have their original porcelain pull knobs, a bonus because these are missing more than half the time.
We carefully cleaned the fixtures, removing the old wall paint and dirt from along the sides and back. We disassembled the original pull chain switches, cleaned & polished & lubed the parts, and they work perfectly. We replaced the nickel plated pull chains with like kind in order to brighten them up. We replaced the original cloth covered wire with modern PVC insulated wire. The fixtures each have an unpolarized, ungrounded outlet at the bottom, but we have disconnected them. However, all of the parts are there and they can be made to work if the buyer needs them to work.
The fixtures are 4-1/2" wide x 7" high where they meet the wall, 8-1/2" high to the end of the chain, and they project 4" from the wall. They use standard base bulbs. Mounting hardware is included.
The sconces are guaranteed to be as described and we will accept their return if the buyer is dissatisfied. Just notify us within 30 days of receiving them.
Shipping is the buyer's choice of USPS Ground Advantage, FedEx or UPS Ground, or USPS Priority Mail.
