This is a vintage official Catholic Relic of Pope Pius.

This is likely dated around the mid 20th century, after he had been beatified.

This relic is encased in a small brass reliquary with a removable smooth back, and some natural patina accumulated on its surface.

The original wax seal and threads are perfectly intact. No modifications have been made, thus, preserving its authenticity and significance.

Please examine pictures carefully. This is in good condition and I'm not sure what that green hue is on the inside, next to the relic. There appears to be no water damage.

HISTORY:

Pope Pius X (born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto) was the head of the Catholic Church from 1903 to 1914. He was an Italian priest who was later canonized as a saint. He is remembered for his opposition to modernism within Catholic doctrine and for his liturgical reforms. 

During his pontificate, he was credited with numerous healing miracles.

He reportedly restored a man's paralyzed arm, an Irish girl with sores was cured after he prayed for her, and a nun afflicted with abdominal cancer was cured after touching a piece of his clothing.
