Center Frame
Mounted on the bed guide rails for use, it features three independently movable support beds that can be pre-fixed with locking screws. During operation, install the workpiece on the front and rear centers. First, precision-turn a smooth surface on the workpiece support area. Then secure the center frame at an appropriate position on the guide rails. Finally, adjust to achieve the proper tightness.
The center rest has two primary applications:
1. Machining the outer surfaces of slender stepped shafts: Typically support the center rest at the shaft's midpoint. First turn the outer surfaces at the right end, then rotate the workpiece to turn the remaining outer surfaces.
2. Machining end faces, holes, and threads on long shafts or cylinders: Clamp the workpiece's left end in a chuck and support the right end with the center rest.
