This is a 1978 Brand New Vintage Harley Davidson Belt Buckle made by Raintree who was officially licensed by Harley Davidson to manufacture a variety of 75th anniversary buckles for Harley Davidson in 1978.

It features a scrolled brushed silver background with a silver spread winged “screaming eagle” . There are 2 banners beneath the eagle. The first banner is red enamel with 12 silver stars. The banner below it has HARLEY DAVIDSON against a purple enamel background.

It measures 3 1/2” wide by 2 3/4” tall. It fits a 1 3/4” belt.

The plastic box cover has been partially torn off at the front bottom of the box as shown. The box is perfect. Just the plastic tear on the front. Please see the photos for details.

This buckle is called “ new old stock”. I had the good fortune to acquire 23 various Harley Davidson design belt buckles from 1978 that are new in original boxes made by Raintree who was a well known manufacturer of high quality belt buckles.

Raintree was located in N. Hollywood, California.

I have another identical buckle I listed separately because the box and plastic cover are in perfect condition. It is priced higher.

I also listed the same buckles but with a brushed gold background. They have the same silver screaming eagle and banners.

As for the other buckles, I have some duplicates and have several one of a kind designs!
