Comment from the expert and biography: After studying at ENSAD (National School of Decorative Arts), he joined the famous cartier jewelry as a designer on rue de la Paix in Paris as a designer. He then joined Pierre Cartier on the 5th avenue in New York where he was a designer then head of the service. He will spend 23 years in New York where he begins watercolor on the basis of pencil preparatory drawings. Back in France he produced numerous watercolors and drawings whose main subjects are the picturesque French villages of Seine and Marne and Normandy. alexandre genaille is a nature lover, he draws and paints the forests and their trees of all essences, rivers and flower gardens. He loves all seasons but he particularly likes winter and his snowy landscapes. His return from New York marks the development of new artistic activities such as stencils, lithography, painting or sculpture. In the artist's drawings we immediately perceive the accuracy of the architect but above all the artist's sensitivity in front of the spectacle of nature.
