What’s the difference between 850nm, 940nm, and 980nm infrared LEDs?

    940nm LEDs are nearly invisible to the naked eye. They produce no visible glow, yet are easily detected by most IR night vision cameras.

    850nm LEDs emit a faint red glow, but provide stronger illumination compared to 940nm LEDs of the same power. They work better for brighter night vision, though the glow may be noticeable.

    980nm LEDs are completely invisible — no visible light at all.

If you need to stay discreet, 940nm is the best choice.
This bulb also works well for lighting specific areas, and fits easily into most light fixtures for simple aiming and concealment.
