The engine and matching transmission were removed from a 1995 XJ12 that had been rear ended and totaled , with no damage to the engine or transmission . This engine features 12 fuel injected cylinders and the later models' increased displacement of 6 liters, instead of the 5.3 Liters in earlier Jaguar models. Compression tests of each cylinder showed excellent compression and the engine ran smooth and the transmission shifted perfectly before removal.
