GLASS CARAFE WITH SILVER MOUNT
Carafe made of clear glass with conical body, wall thickened on the inside with twelve rays of wavy shape, chased floral decoration with feather leaves and vine leaves, silver fittings with cross bands, straight J-shaped handle, covered, beak-shaped spout, hinged, stepped, curved lid, olive button as a thumb rest. Interior gilding.

Founded in Vienna in 1883 by Alexander Sturm, born in Vienna in 1851. His customers were primarily members of the emerging bourgeoisie at the end of the 19th century. Century like Mautner Markhof, Kattus, Wittgenstein, Meinl, Manner, Piatnik, etc. Later, members of the Sturm imperial family also became customers (Archduke Eugen, Archduke Franz Salvator and Archduke Leopold Salvator). At the beginning of the 20th century, the company already employed a hundred people.
