Antique hand turned Awaji pottery Arts and Crafts teapot with incised irises front and back. Beautifully fluid carving. Danto kiln, successor to the famous Minpei kiln. Artist signed Japanese character "ni." This particular potter was both highly proficient and remarkably prolific. Circa 1910. 9 1/2" high overall, 5 3/4" high ceramic only, 5" front to back, 4 3/8 deep. Excellent condition, handle is a modern replacement. For more information please visit tklibby on the web.
