Items in this listing have been aged to enrich dark bold colors throughout the Osage wood. This process transforms the yellow into the darker shades of Osage Orange. The yellow is gone, eliminating the need for UV treatments. This coloring is rare and what made Bodark famous and highly prized. Bright yellow kiln dried Osage simply can not match it.

  This Bodarc is a domestic hardwood that is factually the hardest most dense wood found in the lower 48. Domestic Bodarc heartwood is virtually impervious to decay, rot and wood burrowing insects.

Osage contains a strong yellow pigment called MALCURIN and IS NOT recommended for food contact.
