This is a curved point, wide-gap hook designed specifically for plugging.
The curved point allows you to hook a trout with just a light tension when it flips over.
It has the benefits of improving the start-up of the action and increasing the wobbling width when the plug is acting dead slow on the surface, but it also helps prevent snags and reduces hook-offs when using deep runner plugs to fish at the bottom.
