The Bad Penny Mysteries - A collection of case files from the "Jasper, Street-Fighter, and Me" detective agency. "JSF&M" is most likely the most unique detective agency in existence today. Made up of a retired marine major MP named Maggie Mackenzie, and her working dog Jasper, a mottled gray and white Border Collie, and Street-Fighter, a feral cat that looks more like a small lion than a cat. Tawny colored, with short coarse fur, except for around his neck and the tip of his tail, where the fur is thick, longer and dark brown. Now normally a border collie, and an alfa male feral cat would not get along, but there is a special bond between Jasper and Street-Fighter. They can talk to each other, and to make the bond even more unique, they can talk to Maggie as well. Together they make up the Jasper, Street-Fighter and Me Detective Agency, which has just recently changed its name to Jasper, Street-Fighter and Me2 as Maggie has finally allowed her lifelong friend Senior Major Crimes Detective James Patterson into her life on a permanent basis.Which is how this book got is name, for Maggie and Jim had just picked up the boys from Maggie's mentor in the marines following their return from their honeymoon. She was listening in on the boys as they talked between themselves, as Jim drove home. What she heard piqued her interest, and almost made her blush, as the boys talked about going on a stake out with Sargent Major Robert Morse, USMC. A cryptic text to her friend and mentor, lead to a meeting the next day, and the three cases that are contained in this book. For what began as one sensitive but tricky case, quickly evolved into three case that made the team, go totally dark and operate using their physic powers to defeat those bent on killing them.
