Paul Newman, known as an American actor and racing driver, had a habit of going for drives while wearing his ROLEX DAYTONA Ref. 6241. Concerned about his driving, his wife wondered how she could encourage him to be more careful on the road. She decided to purchase the same model of watch he owned and secretly replaced his watch with the new one, engraving the words "Drive Slowly" on the back. When Paul Newman noticed the change, he cherished the watch and began to pay more attention to his driving.
