Vintage 1940's or 1950's Notre Dame Fighting Irish Pennant. Hard to date, but has no trademark so has to be pre-1960s. Compared to the others listed for sale claiming to be from the 50s, it definitely seems older. It’s also not quite the felt that I’m used to seeing in the other 1950s pennant I have for sale, it’s thicker, with more of an interior, leading me to believe it’s older and probably closer to the 40s. The Gothic lettering is also unique. I don’t see another one for sale like it. 28” long 12” high.

Some pin holes in the corners from use, not too badly wrinkled, considering age, except for the tip. Can probably be steamed out, but I’m too afraid to try. Color has definitely faded over time, giving it more of a grayish blue look. Letting is in excellent condition as well. Great piece of ND Alumni history
