Two vintage bowls by Noritake, unable to identify pattern making it much rarer than more common designs, but china is marked NC for Noritake. This pattern features a white or cream background with a yellow border and heavy gold decoration, often including an elegant scrolling design. It was produced by Noritake in Japan from 1906 to 1991, with variations in backstamps indicating different production periods (e.g., green mark for 1906-1940, gold "Occupied Japan" mark for 1947-1953). Noritake was known for its affordability and rich appearance, especially early pieces featuring hand-painted 24K gold enameling. Now it is very collectible with rare designs going for much higher prices than more common designs.
