Colour & Finish
- Colour: Volkswagen Sealing Wax Red (L53).
- Classic Solid (Non-Metallic) cellulose colour coat.
- For best gloss, durability and fuel resistance, apply a compatible cellulose clear lacquer after colour coats.
Application Guide
- Prepare the surface – clean, sand, degrease and prime as necessary.
- Mix paint 1:1 with cellulose thinners (e.g., 500ml paint + 500ml thinner).
- Stir thoroughly and strain before loading into the spray-gun.
- Apply light, even coats, allowing proper flash-off time between layers.
- For colours like L53, finish with 2–3 coats of cellulose clear lacquer.
- Once cured, the surface can be sanded and polished to a showroom finish.
Important Notes
- Supplied unthinned to allow correct preparation for spray-gun use.
- Colour is matched to the NH531M formula. Vehicle age and weathering may affect the exact shade, so blending is recommended.
