Royal Winton, originally known as Grimwades Ltd., is a renowned English ceramics brand established in 1885 by Leonard Lumsden Grimwade in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The company gained prominence for its high-quality earthenware and fine bone china products, particularly its chintzware—ceramics adorned with dense, all-over floral patterns inspired by textile designs.  

The term “Elite” refers to a specific shape or design line within Royal Winton’s product range. Notably, the “Elite” shape was used for teapots, vases and other items, additionally featuring distinctive design such as a strawberry finial on the lid. For example, the “Old Cottage” pattern teapot in the Elite shape showcases the brand’s characteristic chintz floral design combined with this unique structural feature.
