Vintage Original Poster – 1951 Caledonian Games, Vancouver BC

Offered here is an original advertising poster for the 65th Annual Caledonian Games, held at Capilano Stadium, Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday August 4, 1951.

This poster was produced by the St. Andrews and Caledonian Society & Sons of Scotland Benevolent Association to promote the event, which featured:

• Track & field events

• Piping competition

• Dancing competition

• Massed pipe bands

• Sons of Scotland 75th Anniversary Queen Contest (pictured candidate: Margaret Camp, Glengarry Camp)

Printer’s Mark: Allied Printing Trades Union Label Council, Vancouver BC.

Measurements: approx. 20 x 30 inches (51 x 76 cm).

Condition:

• Displays folds, creases, edge wear and handling marks.
