Rare Antique Pioneer Aviation Biplane Porcelain Jug c.1913 – Fleet, Hampshire

A rare English-made small souvenir china jug, decorated with an image of a Maurice Farman MF.7 Longhorn biplane in flight over the Market Place, Fleet, Hampshire.

Likely to date from around 1913, just before the start of WW1.

This jug is decorated with an attractive hand-coloured transfer design depicting a Maurice Farman Longhorn biplane in flight over the village of Fleet in Hampshire, England. Below the image is the caption, “Market Place Fleet”.

The base is marked, “Best English China”.

Height: 72mm (approx 2.85 inches).
