This
specimen is not just "similar to" a T Rex or "African T
Rex". Nor is it merely in the
Tyrannosaur family like Albertosaurus or Carcharodontosaurus. This is the real thing. Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Here
is a nearly perfect fossil tooth tip from a T Rex. It was found in the Lance Creek Formation in
eastern Wyoming in 2024. There were a large
number of pieces found in the same exact
site, of a T-Rex.
The specimen measures about 0.72" using calipers (18.4 mm).
You will note that the price is higher than the standard T rex tooth top. Out of nearly 30 T Rex tooth tips after a summer of digging, this one was BY FAR the best specimen. None of the others came close.
What makes this specimen stand out is the nearly perfect composition of the tooth. No paint or restoration was used. Look at the color on both sides. Amazing. The very tip on one side has a tiny area of imperfection, and some imperfection down one side, but it does not affect the overall shape of the tooth. It is a nearly flawless specimen of a T rex tooth. This justifies the pricing premium for a small tooth.
From the late Cretaceous, 66 to 68 million years ago. The last great Age of the Dinosaur.
Tyrannosaurus
Rex was king of the predators in the Hell Creek Formation. The name
Tyrannosaurus means "Tyrant Lizard" in Greek, and Rex means
"King" in Latin. It could grow to 43 feet, and had the strongest bite
of any land animal ever.

become a substitute for learning about the specimens. We have been working with
fossils and minerals for many years, and we have seen hundreds of very
nice-looking COA’s, some that are wrong, mis-describing a specimen.
A COA should be specific
to one particular specimen, with a photo
of the exact item on it. At Pioneer
Fossils, our fossils and minerals come
with a COA, and each have a photo of the exact
item you just purchased. This assures that the COA can never be
transferred to a different specimen.

Return
Policy: If you are not satisfied with your item, please

original condition (item cannot be altered or damaged) within 30 days of
