A lovely live steam launch for sale. With complete live steam plant, including gas tank, boiler and twin oscillating engine.

I understand this is Miranda, a Thames steam launch, but please check photos yourself to confirm. 

This model has been built extremely well, and hopefully the photos above show this. The builder has made other, very fine, steam engines to very high tolerances (typically 5 microns !!). I have run the engine on air and it runs well in forward and reverse. The boiler, gas tank and general setup all look really good/fine.

The quality of the wooden hull/launch looks very high. At item certainly good enough to display when not in use.

The launch is designed to be used with radio control gear and the RC gear shown is included. You will need a transmitter and assume the battery pack will need replacing.

Model measures approx 44" long and 7.5" wide/beam.

Boiler is about 6.5" long and 2.5" diameter. The boiler will need re testing before use and the new owner will be responsible for any work needed to recommission. I hope it will be straight forward. The model has been on display for a while.
