Open-box product without signs that the inter packaging has been opened to remove this bulb.

I did not remove the bulb from the inter cardboard protective packaging because it appears the the bulb had not priorly been removed from the packaging. Removal would have likely distorted a tab that locks the bulb into that protective cardboard structure and detract from this item being new. 

Interestingly, this Philips bulb packaged as 60 Watt shares the UPC, part number, model number, and 550 lumen rating as their bulb package labeled 40 W. 

This bulb has no indicators of ever being energized outside the factory.
