On offer is a Genuine Sheffield Assayed Sterling Silver Handled Letter Opener bearing the Cawthorne Pattern. The item has a steel blade with a brushed finish. Each Letter Opener is meticulously restored and silver finished to perfection.

The Silver Handle is hallmarked with the with the letter I for 1926 along with the Lion Passant, Crown and the Makers Mark JS&S - the mark for the sought after James Sanderson & Sons. The item is in fantastic condition for its age as the photos reflect, hallmarks are slightly rubbed. The Paper Knife is 21 cm in length and weighs 37 grammes.
