The base is aluminum I think, the design overlay feels like cast iron but I'm not sure

Front is in excellent condition-just a few tiny flecks, back in great shape as well with "1971 KS" etched into the metal   

Measures about 11.75 inches across and 5.75 high, base is over 1/4 inch thick and the design about 1/4 inch
