Here is a lovely woodcarving of a horse's saddle, just 5 inches tall. Detailed and made by hand, with a love of horses.
Feels solid in the hand, not overly heavy. Has a nice, satin-y hand-rubbed patina -- very special.
I know a little of the backstory of it -- it is not new, but was probably made in the 1940s by a young self-taught artist living in the American west.
Please see the pictures for details.
Note: this item is for the saddle only -- the piece of stone you see in a couple of the pictures is not included.
Thank you for your interest.
