Scarce WWI Antique US Soldier's Wool "DOUGHBOY" Army Campaign Hat, Complete with Original Hat Cord

DESCRIPTION: Scans show it all in detail.   Nice khaki wool.  Flat brim with top, like "yogi-bear" or "Boy Scout" design.  Nice 1 3/4" wide brown leather sweat band, which is still pliable.  Stitching is solid.   No size tag, but head opening measures roughly 6 1/4 x 7 1/2".

Complete with everything, including the outer cloth band & bow. Also the thin leather headstrap (with buckle) to hold it on your head in windy days.  Finally, also has a great original hat cord with acorn knots.    Also has the 4 original air hole vents in the crown.   Even the stitching in the brim along NICE TO FIND ONE SO COMPLETE & ORIGINAL!!

In overall very good condition for such an early cloth item.  A LITTLE, VERY FINE moth peppering on the surface (no actual holes).   Not that much, however, considering the age.

Has a great look and would be a great part of a WWI collection.   To complete a uniform display or for a variety of collections.   A very unusual item used by an actual WWI doughboy.
