Plane Prototype History:
The Mig-19PM Is A Missile Specific Interception Type In The Mig-19 Series, Which Eliminates Traditional Machine Guns And Is Equipped With Four RS-2U (Nato Codename AA-1 "Alkali") Air-To-Air Missiles. The Aircraft Adopts A Dual Engine Swept Wing Layout, With A Maximum Flight Speed Of 1.36 Mach, A Practical Ceiling Of About 17500 Meters, And A Climb Rate Of Up To 185 Meters Per Second, Suitable For Quickly Intercepting High-Altitude Targets. Its Design Focuses On Supersonic Flight And Radar Guided Missile Attacks, But Maneuverability Is Limited By Structural Weight And Missile Mounting. In 1959, The East German Air Force Received 12 Mig-19PMs, Which Together With The 12 Mig-19s (Equipped With Cannons And Rockets) Introduced At The Same Time, Formed The Main Air Defense Force. These Aircraft Were Deployed On The Front Lines Of The Cold War To Intercept Nato Reconnaissance Planes And Bombers. With The Service Of More Advanced Aircraft Such As The Mig-21 And Frequent Accidents, The East German Mig-19PM Was Fully Retired In 1968. The Mig-19PM Is A Representative Of The Early Soviet Supersonic Interceptor, Reflecting The Pursuit Of High-Speed Interception Capability During The Early Cold War. Although The Technology Is Not Mature, It Has Accumulated Experience For The Development Of Subsequent Missile Weapon Systems And Radar Technology. As An Important Member Of The Warsaw Pact, East Germany' S Equipped Mig-19PM Also Reflected The Soviet Union' S Military Technology Export Strategy Towards Its Allies.
