Tank Prototype History:
The AMX-30 Main Battle Tank Is The Second Generation Main Battle Tank Developed And Equipped By France In The 1960s. Before World War II, French Tank Design Only Focused On Protection And Neglected Firepower And Maneuverability; In The 1950s, French Tanks Shifted Their Focus To Firepower And Maneuverability Over Protection, And The AMX-30 Tank Was A Product Of This Design Philosophy. The Tank Is Equipped With A 105mm Rifled Gun, A 720 Horsepower Diesel Engine, And A Total Weight Of 36 Tons. It Has Strong Long-Range Firepower And Good Maneuverability, While Armor Protection Is Relatively Weak. The Design Of The AMX-30 Tank Began In 1958, And Two Prototype Vehicles Were Successfully Produced In 1960. The Prototype Test Was Completed In 1963, And It Was Officially Finalized And Named In 1966. Mass Production Began Immediately, And The First Batch Of AMX-30 Tanks Produced In 1967 Were Equipped For The French Army. The Total Production Of AMX-30 Main Battle Tanks Is 1695 Units, Including Various Variants And Improved Models, With A Total Production Of Approximately 4000 Units. In Addition To Equipping The French Army, The AMX-30 Main Battle Tank Has Also Been Exported To Over Ten Countries Including Spain, Libya, Greece, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Chile, Venezuela, And More. Although The AMX-30 Tank In The French Military Has Been Decommissioned, It Is Still In Service In Some Small And Medium-Sized Countries' Armies, Becoming A ' 50 Year Old Veteran' . The AMX-30 Tank Participated In The Middle East War And The Gulf War In 1991. The AMX-30 Roland Missile Launch Vehicle Has A Combat Weight Of 33 Tons And Can Deal With Low Altitude Aircraft And Other Targets. The Vehicle Is Equipped With 10 Roland Missiles, With The Roland 1 Missile Being The "Good Weather" Type And The Roland 2 Missile Being The All-Weather Type.
