After 25+ years working in the building trade and designed out of exasperation......At last! A convenient, easy to locate holder for the tradesmans most important tool.... the humble pencil. It used to nestle behind your ear before the mandatory hard hat was properly (and rightfully) enforced on any major construction site. It isn't given a second thought, until you misplace it, now your 25p bit of wood and graphite is losing you time and as we all know that means money. Hopefully it's a small problem now resolved. No more looking around the floor, or patting down the multitude of various pockets, forever searching. No more snagging the tip while in the designated pocket or bleeding ink all over the new Snickers if its a felt pen. It is back in its rightful place; where you can find it!
1. Ensure the place on your helmet where you want to mount Magtab is clean and dry 2. Peel off Magtab label backing paper and stick to your chosen place, firmly pressing the edges down 3. Slide the spring clip over your pen / pencil (see photos 3 and 4) Away you go!
: The unique spring clip (British manufactured) is unobtrusive and fits most pens / pencils, including the broard joiners marking pencils (spares available see link below) : Because its magnetic it's pretty much self locating, after a short while it will be second nature to use : Releases usually without dropping the pen / pencil if it snags on something : Can be easily transferred to another helmet (though a new double sided stick pad will be needed) : If you purchase multiple Magtabs the p&p cost remains the same within the UK.
Please note : Strong magnets: Do not put sensitive electronics directly against Magtab. The magnetic field should also be considered if your trade puts your Magtab in very close proximity (25mm) or possible direct contact to ferrous objects, eg. steel scaffolding in which case a recommended chin strap would be advisable to reduce the small risk of the helmet dislodging. : Although Magtab does not affect the strength of the helmet it is not an endorsed product and is worn at own risk : Due to the nature of the spring clip it is not advisable to use this product on pens with a high quality finish, Magtab was never intended to hold your expensive Scheaffer or Waterman
