Give your system a storage performance boost with the 16TB Accelsior 8M2 PCIe 4.0 Storage Card from OWC. Designed to assist graphic designers, audio engineers, video producers, and animators, the Accelsior expands your onboard storage and can scale to your production needs.

Preloaded with 16TB of storage, the Accelsior includes eight 2TB OWC Aura Ultra IV NVMe PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSDs, allowing you to save all your important files easily. A plug-and-play design allows you to install this card within your Windows or Mac system without the need to download additional drivers or software. An internal cooling fan manages airflow within the card to ensure your drives do not buckle under potential heat buildup while also minimizing sound within your case. The Accelsior is designed for PCIe 4.0 systems but is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 systems, allowing you to experience enhanced data transfer speeds with a wide range of devices.

For best performance and to avoid compatibility issues, please make sure your system is running macOS 13.5 or later.

RAID Compatible

The Accelsior includes 2TB which can be recognized on an individual basis or configured in a RAID format including 0, 1, 4, 5, and 1+0 (10). You can easily adjust parameters with the included SoftRAID XT software, simplifying your storage solution.

SoftRAID XT Software

Ensure your drives are well-suited for your projects with the free to download SoftRAID XT software. Along with adjusting RAID parameters, this software monitors your drives and alerts you of potential issues. Volume validation, disk checking, and error prediction are also built into the software so you can always be on top of your storage system.

Data Transfer Speeds

Experience data transfer speeds up to 26,000 MB/s when paired with a PCIe 4.0 system or up to 12,000 MB/s with a PCIe 3.0 system. You can achieve seamless high-end video playback including 16 streams of 8K ProRes444 in Final Cut Pro X, 8 streams of 12K ProRes444 in Final Cut Pro X, and 9 streams of 4K 16-bit EXR in DaVinci Resolve.

Internal Design

Eight M.2 2280 M-key interfaces support a wide range of drives, allowing you to swap out preinstalled drives for other options if needed. Aircraft-grade aluminum heat shield and internal fan system keep your drives cool under stress to ensure your data is safe and sound.
