plot & guide :    an honest (but occasionally rebellious) taxi driver who naively cuts edges to skirt around the law. But soon, Victor is wedged in a dangerous position, with life-and-death consequences, when he finds himself gridlocked between very corrupt police officials and vicious gangsters. The film revels in its overtly nihilistic tone. But the ending crescendos into an even more jaw-dropping conclusion.
