About the artist:

A profoundly influential photographer, Rankin’s work defined the aesthetics of fashion and popular culture in the 1990s and early 2000s and continues to break new ground today. In 1991, he co-founded the era-defining magazine, Dazed & Confused, which gave him the perfect opportunity to develop his playful and irreverent style. Rankin’s innate gift for connecting with his subjects has allowed him to create a stream of memorable portraits. One of the most in-demand photographers in the world, Rankin was invited to photograph Queen Elizabeth II for her Golden Jubilee in 2001; he shot her warmly smiling in front of a Union Jack.
