A rather beautiful, eye-catching hand-crafted antique Arts & Crafts pewter centrepiece pedestal bowl, ideal as a fruit bowl.
The decorative twin scrolled handles make it a rare statement piece. The body and plinth are hand-hammered with additional decorative punched pewter roundels.
The underside is stamped with the maker's mark: Mazeppa, Sheffield, underneath with a horse for Samuel Hancock & Sons, Established 1787.
Marked on base ‘Hand Beaten Sheffield’.

Condition: Good condition considering its age. Left in an uncleaned condition; it has acquired a nice patina. The interior of the bowl has some marks and scuffs. The plinth has a slight dent on the edge but hardly noticeable.
