DESCRIPTION
A scarce work.
A charming volume for children, comprising: 'The Alphabet of Flowers', 'A Gift for a Pet', 'The Story of a Pie', and 'Harry's First Voyage'. A lovely work of poems, alongside educational writings on flowers, and two short stories.
Illustrated with a chromolithograph frontispiece, and twenty-three chromolithograph plates. Collated, complete.
Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library.
Gift inscription to the recto of the front endpaper, dated 1887.
Published by the Religious Tract Society.
CONDITION
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with light rubbing to the cloth. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, resulting in a small amount of loss. A few light marks to the cloth. Hinges are starting but firm. Bookplate to the front paste down. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a few light handling marks. Final leaf is working loose.
