Description

A collection of 40 masterpieces from 2011 onwards, centered on the works exhibited in the solo exhibition of the same title held at Kaikai kiki Gallery in 2014. Aya Takano, who has drawn a cosmic world view unleashed from the gravity and common sense of the earth, reached a major turning point after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. She begins to confront the fundamentals of the real world, and through her work she reaches a point of prayer and affirmation that surrounds life and death. In a dialogue between art critic Midori Matsui and Takano, "Appreciation of her work, feelings for a world where all things coexist", the dramatic changes that appeared in her work are vividly understood.
