one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory
from 1924 until the mid-fifties.

'REVUE' - EINZELFIGUR DER 'DOLLY SISTERS'
Stehende junge Revue-Tänzerin mit
Pagenkopf-Frisur, einen Schritt nach vorne ausführend. Zugleich hebt sie den glockenblumenförmigen Saum ihres kurzen lila
Kleidchens mit Fellkragen mit beiden Händen hoch. Ein großes Grasbüschel stützt
die Figur am linken Bein.
Auf schwarzem, rautenförmigem Sockel.
Diese Figur existiert auch als Zweiergruppe, da die 'Dolly Sisters' eigentlich ein Zwillingspaar waren.
Weiters gibt es auch eine Vierergruppe, eine äußerst seltene und aufwändige
Ausführung der Firma Goldscheider als besondere Schöpfung.
Die 'Dolly Sisters' Rosie Dolly (1892
- 1970) und Jenny Dolly (1892 - 1941), bekannt als (die) Dolly Sisters, waren
ungarisch-stämmige amerikanische identische Zwillingstänzerinnen, Sängerinnen
und Schauspielerinnen, die in den 1910er und 1920er Jahren große Beliebtheit im
Varieté und im Theater erlangt haben. Beide Schwestern traten auch in zwei
Stummfilmen auf.

A large tuft of grass supports the figure on the left leg.
On a black, diamond-shaped base.
This figure also exists as a group of two, as the 'Dolly Sisters' were actually a pair of twins. There is also a group of four,
an extremely rare and elaborate version by the Goldscheider company as a special creation.
The 'Dolly Sisters' Rosie Dolly (1892
- 1970) and Jenny Dolly (1892 - 1941), known professionally as (the) Dolly
Sisters, were Hungarian-American identical twin dancers, singers and actresses,
popular in vaudeville and theatre during the 1910s and 1920s. Both sisters also
appeared in two silent films.
