Our Insight on the Tripplite SmartPro Family
The Tripp Lite Smart Series reflects Tripp Lite's reputation as the clever-design UPS manufacturer, with convenience and plug configuration placed at the forefront. It includes many very different models, each designed around a particular need, and appeals to buyers who have carefully compared the major UPS brands. Some models provide both high- and low-voltage outputs, making them especially useful in mixed-voltage equipment environments.
Many units can be configured for tower or rack-mount use, and some accept generic 48-volt extended-run battery packs, allowing customers to supply a compatible pack for additional runtime. Buying requires careful identification, however. Tripp Lite has reused the same part number across different generations, so a part number alone may not identify the exact product.
Network management also requires care because only one Tripp Lite network card is truly workable in today's environment. Eaton acquired Tripp Lite in 2025 and has since discontinued many of its unique models. The Smart Series remains valuable for its application-specific designs and unusual flexibility, but buyers should verify the generation, configuration, network card, and continued model availability before purchasing.

Shipping & Delivery
Freight
Since most UPS systems are heavy, we ship most orders on pallets via freight carrier to your loading dock. Smaller systems under 70 lb may ship by FedEx or UPS. Contact us for special delivery requirements or shipments outside the continental U.S.
Work Process
Each UPS or system is retested before shipping to help ensure a smooth experience upon receipt. Most orders require 2–3 business days for preparation and testing. Contact us if you have special requirements or need expedited handling.

Warranty
Unless otherwise specified, GreenLightUPS warrants equipment for 12 months from the date of purchase. Warranty claims require the end user to participate in diagnosis and troubleshooting with our technical team before resolution. Batteries are excluded from this Limited Warranty unless specifically identified as covered in writing at the time of sale.
