This set belonged to my parents (married 1949).  They had many sets and very rarely used this one.  It looks brand new.  There are 19 pieces in all 8 cups, 8 saucers, creamer, sugar and sugar lid.  18 of the pieces are perfect, one cup has a minor sliver on the top, too small to be a chip or crack, it was actually very hard to photograph it.  See the last photo listed.

Normally the damage is on the sugar lid, but that is pristine.

There are 2 different stamps on the bottom, some say Japan and others say Castleton Japan.  I am fairly certain that they were all bought at the same time, but can not guarantee it.  I believe it was purchase from Caldwells in Philadelphia.

The cups measure 3 1/2" tall and the saucers are 6" across, and the sugar bowl measures 6" from the tipis of the handles..

Please feel free to ask any questions, I may not have all the answers but I will try.
