This beautiful note has been graded 66 with Premium Paper Quality by PCGS Banknote. The FM block has 1 run and 6 plate combinations all valued at over $160 in UNC condition. This rarer note has the 1/2 plate combo and is valued at $400 in Gem UNC 66 condition! It is quite difficult to come by high grade WEB notes from 88a series FM block! PCGS Banknote has (13) notes from the FM block and only (1) note has been graded finer. As for PMG, (118) notes have been graded and (14) notes have been graded higher.
WEB notes are becoming more collectible as the amount of uncirculated examples available to collectors decreases. The failed experiment has produced some of the most highly sought after $1 Federal Reserve notes and a large market has developed for these notes as collectors have taken notice.
