Here is an antique Armand Marseille 17" doll, marked on the back of the head Armand Marseille Germany 390 A0M. I am not sure what the head is made of, it doesn't feel like either porcelain or composition, possible papier mache? The head needs to be restored. I think it has wood filler on parts of it, and am pretty sure my mother, who used to restore dolls before dementia, was about to start working on this one but didn't get beyond putting wood filler on a couple spots on her face. The surface of her face is all cracked as seen in the photos. The brown spots are wood filler or wood putty. She has no hair. She has weighted glass brown eyes and they appear to be in good condition, and she has four inset top teeth that are intact. Her body I think might have straw in it, but overall is in good condition with a little wear around the metal parts at the joints and a hole in her right inner thigh. I know there is someone out there who can make her an absolute beauty again.
