Battery Jar

We offer a vintage Gamewell glass battery jar. It would have originally held acid and lead plates inside with a Milk Glass cover on top. This would have been one of many in a bank of batteries used to power an alarm board in the fire alarm telegraph office. “Game Well” and the logo of bolts of lightning held by a hand appears embossed on both sides. The glass has a slight yellowed cast.

The glass box measures at the top 2 7/8” in width and 5 3/8” in length with a height of 6 1/2”.

At the tapered base, the box measures 2 3/8” in width and 4 3/4” in length.

The Game Well glass battery jar is presented in very good vintage condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs.
