Description

This is a beautiful embossed stainless steel Santa Susannah shank low port roller curb sweet iron mouthpiece bit made by Jeremiah Watt Productions.  This is a style that was very popular in the show ring in the 1970's and has been discontinued from the JWP line.  This is not from the inexpensive Weaver Sagebrush line, but is from Jeremiah Watts production line.  This is a very well made stainless steel bit with a 1/2 inch diameter x 5 inch medium wide low port roller mouthpiece that measures 1-1/2 inches tall by 1-1/2 inches wide.  The mouthpiece features copper inlays on the back side to encourage salivation.  This is a well maintained pre owned bit and shows some light rusting and corrosion on the sweet iron mouthpiece.  The embossed loose cheeks feature a barb wire design.

The shanks measure 6-1/2 inches long with a 2-3/4 inch purchase for a 2.4 to 1 leverage ratio.  This stunning bit will make a great addition to your show bit collection and will look great in any show ring setting.  JWP horse bits evoke the old west look that made the buckaroo and vaquero styles so popular with ranchers and horsemen.

JWP cheek designs evoke a time in old west history when class and style were of paramount importance.  These cheek designs lend strongly from the best of the old bit-makers of California from days gone by.  Ranchers, buckaroos and common cowhands of the great plains are all using JWP horse bits and strongly endorse them.
