Thomas Organ, il produttore del primo Cry Baby, inventato intorno al 1966–67 da Brad Plunkett Baby, cessò di produrre il Cry Baby negli USA e commissionò la produzione a Jen Elettronica (Italia), che produsse su licenza per Thomas Organ/Vox centinaia di migliaia di pedali col marchio Cry Baby tra il 1972 e il 1978. Le produzioni JEN sono in assoluto tra le migliori mai prodotte. I Jen Cry Baby, usavano componentistica di alta qualità, induttori Fasel (gli stessi dei Vox vintage) e componenti italiani resistenti, che garantivano un suono caldo e “cremoso”, rotondo e autentico, tipico dei migliori wah vintage dell’epoca.
Il pedale è completamente originale, in ottime condizioni estetiche e funzionali considerata l'età, il movimento del pedale è fluido, potenziometri silenziosi e circuito pienamente funzionante. Tutte le componenti circuitali interne sono quelle originali, è stata aggiunta la possibilità di alimentare il pedale tramite un'unità esterna, modifica reversibile che non intacca sulla resa sonora.
È inclusa la sua custodia originale, in vinile nera con bordo beige .

For sale is a rare and beautiful Cry Baby Wah-Wah, manufactured by Jen Elettronica S.p.A. in Pescara, Italy, in the early 1970s. One of the most iconic wah pedals in history, perfect for those seeking an authentic vintage sound and for collectors of historic effects.
Thomas Organ, the original maker of the first Cry Baby — invented around 1966–67 by Brad Plunkett — stopped producing the Cry Baby in the USA and commissioned Jen Elettronica (Italy) to manufacture it under license for Thomas Organ/Vox. Jen produced hundreds of thousands of Cry Baby-branded pedals between 1972 and 1978. Jen’s production is among the very best ever made. The Jen Cry Baby featured high-quality components, Fasel inductors (the same as the vintage Vox units), and robust Italian parts, which ensured a warm, creamy, round, and authentic tone — typical of the finest vintage wah pedals of the era.
The pedal is completely original, in excellent cosmetic and functional condition considering its age. The treadle movement is smooth, the potentiometers are quiet, and the circuit works perfectly.
All internal circuit components are original. Additionally, a reversible modification has been added, allowing the pedal to be powered by an external power supply, without affecting the sound.
The original vinyl case with beige trim is included.
