Rare Pair of Original Fancy Antique Victorian Lady's High Shoes, c.1880  

DESCRIPTION: Rare original pair of fancy ANTIQUE VICTORIAN LADY'S HIGH SHOES. Scans show all in detail.  Brown color, made of thin, EXTREMELY SOFT leather. They go part way up the lower calf, and each has 15 eyelets on each side to lace up!!!  FURTHERMORE, BOTH ORIGINAL LACES ARE STILL THERE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, WITH A BOW KNOT, JUST AS THEY WERE WHEN LAST TAKEN OFF!!! This is only 1 of 2 pairs remaining from my antique footwear collection.

Thin style, narrow with very stylish pointed toes.  Very narrow, with high insteps.

These were well made, c.1880. They show period wear, but were also well taken care of. The original soles show use, but not excessive use.   Soles have great stitching, with nailed heels.  REALLY NICE TO HAVE THEM TOTALLY ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE!!!

They measure about 9" high by about 11" heel to toe.  Width is about 3 1/8"

You won't find many like this, this early, nor many so nice and original!!!  Great for a collection or a HOME OR SHOP DISPLAY, as a costume theatre prop, or even could still be worn for an antique Victorian look!!!
