Jimmytheparrot1 is selling trafficators again.   Trafficators in OZ ready to shoot off express to you.  Have them in your hands fast... ready to fit ... and by the weekend they will be flapping up and down.  You'll be the life of the party at the traffic lights(looks in the mirror at the car behind, sees the grandad explaining them to the nipper next to him)... and at every corner.  People always ask about these devices... " are the little arms working...?"

(overseas are welcome, but must read the blue freight section below)

Included free are detailed notes and diagrams** on how to wire up the trafficators and flashing indicators off the one switch... (no silly twin switches)... and loads of other info on the two types of SD84 dash switch, a passenger/freeway switch, how to use 30 cent diodes to solve issues and so on.  I can help with SWT101 or 2A6215 switches as well, if you have them fitted. I will also talk to you about brackets… I can send new ones to you, or include a paper template  for you free, so you can make your own. (the trafficator itself has a STANDARD tongue and screw fitting, but the bracket can vary according to the car being fitted to)

This listing... Pair (A) of Lucas 12 volt SF80 trafficators in excellent condition.  All ready to go. Cleaned, polished and new correct special 6 x 36  (not 8 x 38) 3 watt festoons. In good working condition.  The lenses are original Lucas ones, and appear to be close to NOS standard. The chrome covers are also in a very good condition, and again not far off new standard, with minimal chrome wear-flecks..  They still pull up nicely too when held at a 30/40 degree backwards-tilt on my bench battery... which is a good showing.  An all-round original and in very good condition pair.

You may also wish to ask me about SF34 SF40 and all the others.  SF80 were the final evolution of the Lucas trafficator and the best. (in balance, lightness, pull and changeability of lens & cover etc). SF34 and SF40 applications can be simply changed to use these if you wish (ask me) , but I have SF34 for sale as well.

**  FREE WITH ALL TRAFFICATORS IS 10+ PAGES ON…

-The method for SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION OF FUN TRAFFICATORS (constant) AND SAFE FLASHERS (intermittent pulse / square-wave) OFF THE ONE ORIGINAL SWITCH...   SETTING IT UP WITH TWO TURN-SWITCHES, ONE  FOR EACH SYSTEM... IS JUST PLAIN SILLY.

-Also notes on sd84 switches as there is an early and a late SD84 switch... very different internally.  Also notes on the "earthing trick" used in many wirings on old cars, using solenoid theory... No auto-elecs would be old enough to know it…was used in early fifties cars and never again!!!  Notes on how to have only the one lamp on the dash inside the light operating on both systems without cross-interference... how to use diodes....  and... Why the early SD84 is a pain in the bum... It's not just the car wiring that is different, the early/late switch's internal links, and method of assembly, are quite different

-Also notes on wiring a “freeway” switch to stop the trafficators working on the freeway, leaving flashers only. (they tend to not drop properly over 90kph).  This same switch will double as a “passenger” switch… when you have a passenger on board, you can stop the traffs from working with this switch!!  WHY??  well... otherwise.... when you drop them off somewhere with your indicators still on.... from habit as a modern driver... they will get out and snap it off... happens all the time !!

-Also note on diodes and how to use these 30 cent gates to solve problems.

-Also brief notes on upkeep, lubrication etc.

OVERSEAS.  Overseas buyers are welcome, however, I have had problems with overseas buyers not reading the text for freight,  and buying, then not replying for weeks (??!!), so I have had to alter the setup.

Firstly , all overseas freight MUST continue to be with fast reliable private express couriers, NOT the post office.  Ebay has a very poor freight setup and it is quite rigid.  Ebay does not understand (??) that different countries have vastly different rates for express courier. I am now making the rate TOP-DOWN... not BOTTOM-UP.  Before, I charged the a very low rate on ebay , then billed for more (bottom-up).  But , because overseas buyers sometimes do not reply properly, it will now be a default TOP-DOWN.  You pay the maximum country rate at purchase, and THEN, I REFUND the portion for your country.

Examples.  USA is the lowest, they pay the max $128, but then get a refund of about $30 to $40.  UK is medium, they pay the max $128, but then get a refund of about $15 to 20. Middle East is high... and they get no refund.

This is what I mean by top-down.  In this way, I do not need to explain/wait for the buyer to send me more money (some have messed around for 3 weeks, which greatly disturbs me as it makes me look incompetent). I can get it going the next day... and send the refund from their paid-$128 straight after.

Post Office is strictly forbidden due to their shocking follow-up service if any problems... and they're too slow as well.

To look for items in my shop, the easiest way is to save any one of MY 1400 items in your watchlist... Then,  whenever you want to peruse my 1400 items... simply click on the hyperlink called “visit store” at the top right of this item.  That will take you to a page with my 40 store categories... click the category,  and that category will be displayed with photos on the right... thus a “window-shop”.

Plodding through the Ebay mire of the general search box... or the “see other items” hyperlink  is simply the way to insanity.

If you’re using Ebay’s useless mobile app, I’m sorry... I have no idea how you will find them… this app is a real shocker/compromise in quality and half the stuff is missing.  Go to your PC is my advice.
